WOTTON-UNDER-EDGE & DISTRICT ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL LEAGUE
Chipping Sodbury AFC join the newly created Wotton & District league for this season.

A meeting of the Wotton-under-Edge and District Association Football League on 23rd August 1905 was held at The Crown Hotel, Wotton-under-edge and the following delegates were present :- Messers W.Bendall and W.J.Carr (Dursley), Messers Protheroe and Price (Chipping Sodbury), Messers Cowley and Smith (Kingswood), Mr.R.G.Selwood (Wickwar), Messers F.C.Ford and J.M.Jotcham (Wotton-under-edge) and Messers Hay and Davis (Tytherington).
In the absence of the president (Mr J.Reade, who was taking his annual holidays), MR.W.J.Carr was elected to preside. The minutes having been read and confirmed, the secretary (MR.H.Austin), read a letter from the Gloucestershire Football Association secretary, stating that...... The league was duly affiliated to the controlling body and the remarks made by the committee as to the high standard of the rules were considered very satisfactory and the slight alteration made by the Association was adopted.
The roll-call having been called and Thornbury failing to respond, it was decided to enforce Rule 7 and for not sending representatives the Thornbury club were fined 2s 6d.
The secretary reported the following clubs had registered their colours..... Dursley-Red and Black, Wotton-under-edge-Red and White, Kingswood-White, Chipping Sodbury-Blue and White Stripes, Thornbury-Dark Blue, Wickwar-Green and Tytherington had not yet chosen their colours.
